Volunteers Week saw the launch of the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2017, hosted by Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) in partnership with Stirling Council. SVE are very please to announce an exciting venue for this years awards, which will be the newly renovated Engine Shed based in Forthside Way, Stirling.

The awards will take place on 26th September during this year’s Volunteer Festival, which is a programme of events hosted by Volunteer Scotland with support from Stirling Council and SVE, designed to celebrate the contribution of volunteers and encourage greater community participation.

The Volunteer Festival will culminate in the Inspiring Volunteers Awards, a glittering evening recognising and celebrating volunteers, with a number of awards designed to cover a wide range of volunteer opportunities. This year the award categories will be Young Volunteer Award, Volunteer Team Award, Health & Wellbeing Award sponsored by NHS Forth Valley, Volunteering in Sport Awards sponsored by Active Stirling, Commitment to Volunteering, Outstanding Trustee Awards, Heart of Gold Award and finally the evening’s most coveted and prestigious award – Volunteer of the Year 2017.

This year we will not be taking nominations for Volunteer of the Year, instead the judging panel will decide an overall winner from the nominations submitted for the other categories based on their commitment and outstanding dedication. We look forward to another fantastic evening to celebrate the contribution our volunteers make to our community.
