Stirling University Freshers is a week of activities and events put on by the University Students Union to welcome students to their new home, the University of Stirling! The Students’ Union is there to Make Students’ Lives Better and want to make sure Students have the best first week of the rest of their uni life.

So how was the Festival of Volunteering involved?

Well, the Festival of Volunteering team, including Volunteer Scotland and SVE, were present at the Freshers Fayre on the ‘Student Life Day & Sustainability Fayre’ on Thursday the 12th of September to chat with students who are interested in volunteering in/around the Stirling area while they are attending University. We offered advice and guidance on where to start and who to contact on their volunteering journey.

We handed out our ‘volunteer quiz’ flyers to students to help them consider the right roles for them.

The Cube also be joined us on the day. The Cube is an inclusive platform that everyone can take part in. Find out more about the Cube here.
